ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA PRESENTS "tick,
tick, BOOM !"
A
musical look at facing a crossroad in life
and holding onto your dreams, tick, tick…BOOM!
tells the story of a young composer on the
brink of turning 30 and falling into oblivion.
His girlfriend wants to get married and move
out of the city; his best friend is making
big bucks on Madison Avenue; and he's still
waiting tables and trying to write the great
American musical. With fourteen songs, ten
characters, three actors, and a band, tick,
tick…BOOM! takes you on the playwright/composer's
journey that led to the Broadway blockbuster,
Rent. This new musical was written by Jonathan
Larson, the 1996 Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize
winner for Rent, with script consultation
by the 2001 Pulitzer Prize winning playwright
for Proof, David Auburn.
Performances
run: Tuesday through Saturday evenings at
8pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday
and Sunday at 2pm.
Tickets
range from $52 - $54 and can be purchased
in person at the Royal Poinciana Playhouse,
