Facelifts

One of the most dramatic changes performed with Plastic Surgery is achieved with the face lift. Properly done, this procedure can take "years" off an aging face.

A facelift is performed under general or local anesthesia with IV sedation. Incisions are made in the hairline, around the ear, and to the lower scalp. The facial skin is partially elevated off the underlying tissue and the loose skin is pulled up and backwards. The excess skin is then removed.

We use specialized techniques that also tighten the underlying supporting tissue in hopes of obtaining an even better improvement and making the results last longer. The final result is a more youthful, fresher appearance.

Most of the scars are hidden in the hair and the majority of swelling and bruising disappears within ten days.
