Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)

Do you look tired from drooping upper eyelids or bags under your eyes? Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) can help.

Blepharoplasty is a procedure that removes excess skin, muscle, and fat from around the eyes. The upper eyelid skin is removed via an incision in an existing crease. A small amount of muscle and sometimes fat is also removed and after the skin edges are re-approximated, an immediate improvement is achieved.

The lower eyelids are treated in a similar way with the incision directly under the lash line and sometimes extending into a crow’s foot. In some cases, excess fat is the only problem; therefore a transconjunctival approach is suitable.

This technique provides access to the fat via small incisions inside the lower lid and doesn't leave any scar on the outside.
