A couple of years ago CheffLarry and Gwen's RADIO GRILL debuted on the South Florida airwaves at WPBR in West Palm Beach. Then they moved to WLVJ in Ft. Lauderdale where they reached a bigger audience. Finally it was on to the 25,000 watt powerhouse, WAXY in Miami. ChefLarry converted all of the radio station studios into an intimate café every Saturday. With his superb culinary skills and Gwen's vast radio background, the show attracted more and more people and advertisers. They love working together and their Siberian Husky, Jockamo got to come to the broadcasts with them and has become a celebrity in his own right - making appearances at "doggie events" and even on TV shows with ChefLarry. Besides hearing about the scrumptious meals ChefLarry is preparing for the day - what equipment he's cooking on - the ingredients he's using and the wines they're drinking, their listeners are treated to humorous stories of their friends, family, travels, life in the restaurant and radio business and an occasional yodel from Jockamo.

The wildly popular RADIO GRILL attracted a vast array of guests, from local celebrities and politicians to community leaders and workers, businessmen and average Floridians, both young and old. A lot of them came back over and over again and a few have become RADIO GRILL regulars. When they started broadcasting ChefLarry and Gwen's RADIO GRILL, the couple did it 5 days a week on WPBR. After a few months, they did a live remote broadcast at Tommy Bahama's on Clematis Street - then another at the Crowne Plaza Oceanfront on Singer Island and after that, the Holiday Inn Highland Beach. As the demands to do more, the crowds became bigger and the events more exciting. With the subsequent change of stations it became possible to broadcast live remotes more often. Soon "more often" had turned into "always", as they love to entertain and be around people. Gwen proudly articulates, "The show is everything we've been and everything we love.”

Expansion became inevitable and when they discovered the AIRSTREAM Radio Broadcasting Diner in the Miami radio station parking lot, their future was sealed. Their studio was now mobile. The Airstream needed some bodywork and the best place to have it done was in nearby Tampa at Bates RV. While in the area they found a new home on Tampa's Fox News Radio 1040 WWBA.

Now, there's no telling where you'll see ChefLarry hauling the Diner with a matching silver 2500 Dodge Quad Cab Cummins Diesel from Dayton Andrews. Wherever it is, they're probably on their way to a live broadcast from the Airstream or an event at one of The RADIO GRILL sponsor's "Live Cooking Events".  ChefLarry and Gwen's RADIO GRILL is bound to be a favorite of the 1040 AM WWBA listeners for a long time to come.
